During my time at Boston University, two of my favourite classes were Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer (taken during my junior year). Despite the difficulty of the classes, I found them very interesting. They were brand new topics that I was never exposed to before and the work in the classes was very rewarding. I came out of those classes with A's and I understood all of the material very well. This drove me to continue to study the subject and take this class as a senior, "ME 425 Compressible Flow and Propulsion", or as I like to refer to it, "Squishy Fluids". As such, this would be the first class I took for my Aerospace Concentration. In this class, we did a lot of work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Not only did we use out of the box software such as NASA OVERFLOW to study fluid systems, we actually got to write our own software. I loved this aspect of the class because writing the software was both fun, rewarding, and I learned the material very well because of it.
