When my senior year came around, I was astonished to see that my time at Boston University was coming to a close. Four very brief years had passed yet so much had happened. Academically, all of it culminated in my senior capstone experience. While the experience was year long, it was broken up in two section. The first section, which took place in the fall semester, was a class on electro-mechanical design. Here, I learned how to determine the best electro-mechanical parts to use in a design as well as how to make them work using various control schemes. We even completed a mini-project in order to demonstrate our abilities with controls and electro-mechanical design. Toward the end, we all selected our senior design projects and jumped right into it, which transitioned to the spring semester where it was all about completing our projects. Very exciting times indeed as I felt that my engineering abilities grew exponentially and were being put to work in the best way possible.
